Modern Architecture Houses

This Sheldon Avenue house is located on a long plot, relatively narrow in width, within the Heath Fringes Conservation Area in Highgate, London. The project was completed in 2003 by Belsize Architects. The structure of the house is contemporary in nature, yet respects its surrounding context by integrating existing forms. The design is reminiscent of a series of cells organized around a chapter house. Overall, the structure of this modern architecture is articulated by a ’stepped’ arrangement in section to make a succession of tiered levels that culminates in a basement swimming pool in Modern architecture House.
